MAYOR OF DANA POINT JAMEY FEDERICO ENDORSES BRIAN MARYOTT FOR CONGRESS

MARYOTT OFFERS A MUCH NEEDED AGENDA FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL AND VETERANS

DANA POINT, Calif. — Dana Point Mayor Jamey Federico today endorsed Financial Planner, and former Mayor of San Juan Capistrano Brian Maryott for U.S. Representative in the 49th Congressional District.

“Congressional District 49 is the home of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, and thus it should also be home to one of the strongest advocates for military personnel, Veterans and their families. Brian Maryott will be the ally we need in Congress,” said Jamey Federico, Mayor of Dana Point. “Brian is dedicated to increasing Veterans’ healthcare options and improving the VA; expanding access to mental health services; investing in research and development to keep our nation at the forefront of technology; and protecting military spending from petty politics through consistent funding of military budgets. I know that Brian will find innovative, efficient ways to carry out this agenda, and it’s one of many reasons why he’s my choice to be our next representative to Congress.”

Federico, a retired officer in the United States Marine Corps with almost 22 years of service, was elected in Dana Point in 2018. He served four combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel just a year before his first run for public office. Federico owns a general contracting company in Dana Point where he lives with his wife, Alexis.

“It’s an honor to have Mayor Federico in our corner. Jamey has shown remarkable leadership in his service to both our country and the city of Dana Point,” said Brian Maryott, candidate for Congressional District 49. “The continued strength and success of the United States depends on the sacrifices made by all those in uniform who serve. As this district’s next representative, I will be a dedicated ally to our military and Veterans — and I’ll work hard to give them peace of mind knowing that their priorities are being heard and advocated for in the halls of Congress.”
