“Congressional District 49 is the home of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, and thus it should also be home to one of the strongest advocates for military personnel, Veterans and their families. Federico, a retired officer in the United States Marine Corps with almost 22 years of service, was elected in Dana Point in 2018. He served four combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel just a year before his first run for public office. Federico owns a general contracting company in Dana Point where he lives with his wife, Alexis.
