I am the Mayor Pro-Tem in San Juan Capistrano, where I reside with my wife Michele, and our three children, Max, Tessa, and Emme (and a couple of horses named Charm and Brew). Michele and I are Massachusetts kids who fell in love with California nearly 24 years ago. After a few years in Malibu, we moved to Orange County in 1997. We discovered San Juan Capistrano and made it our home nine years ago. We are members of the Episcopal Church, and attend St. Margaret's in San Juan Capistrano.
My early experience in government was spent working as Chief of Staff for a State Legislator in the House of Representatives, Boston, MA. After that I returned to the financial services industry, where I worked for many years with individuals and business owners on their investment and financial plans and held several senior management positions as well. On January 12, 2018, one day after my 55th birthday, I retired from the industry to focus exclusively on public service as the final working chapter of my life.
I graduated from American International College, Springfield, MA., with a B.A. in Political Science. I have held a Certified Financial Planner designation since 2006.
