Dan Bane, former Mayor of San Clemente, endorsed Maryott for Congress
"Nobody fights harder for families and common sense and I am proud to endorse Brian Maryott for Congress."
SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. — On Monday, Dan Bane, former Mayor of San Clemente, endorsed Brian Maryott and released the following statement:
“Brian Maryott has an exceptional background to bring to Capitol Hill and get some concrete results. While fighting for the residents of San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano in the toll road debate, Brian’s extensive financial background was uniquely helpful in holding the TCA accountable to the fallacy of their financial assumptions. Nobody fights harder for families and common sense and I am proud to endorse Brian Maryott for Congress.”
Brian Maryott responded, “Dan was an incredible advocate for his city and I am proud to have his endorsement. Dan’s leadership through difficult times was admirable and we are grateful to have him on Team Maryott.”
Dan Bane was elected to the San Clemente City Council in 2018 and appointed to Mayor in 2019. Dan moved to San Clemente with his wife, Sheyenne, in 2008. Dan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri and a Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University.
To date, Brian Maryott has received the endorsements of the California Republican Party, Orange County Republican Party, San Diego Republican Party, San Diego Lincoln Club, Congressman Darrell Issa, The California Women’s Leadership Association, 12 Mayors, 5 City Council Members, 4 County Supervisors, 2 State Senators, and 2 Assemblymembers (including the Republican Leader in the Assembly)
