San Diego County Education Leaders Endorse Brian Maryott for Congress

(San Diego, CA) – A group of education leaders in San Diego County today announced their endorsement of Brian Maryott for Congress.

These leaders include Lee DeMeo, Fallbrook Union High School District Trustee; Bob Gleisberg, Former Oceanside Unified Board of Education Trustee; Maureen Muir, San Dieguito Union High School Board Trustee; Leslie Schneider, Encinitas School Board Trustee; Emily Wichmann, former Oceanside Unified Board of Education Trustee; T.J. Zane, Poway Unified School District Trustee; Jim Kelly, Grossmont Union High School District Trustee; and John Roesch, Coronado Unified School District Trustee.

“I would like to thank these local education leaders for their endorsement and faith in my campaign,” said Brian Maryott. “Every child deserves access to a first-rate education. I thank the men and women that serve on local school boards who work every day to ensure quality education for all their students.”

“It is important to me that Congress supports educators' rights to improve learning outcomes for students in their districts,” Maryott continued. “If elected as your Congressman, I will back legislation that gives local school districts the assistance they need to adequately address the individual needs of their student populations.”

The endorsements of these San Diego County education leaders add to the growing list of leaders in San Diego and Orange Counties who have voiced their support of Maryott for Congress. Brian has already been endorsed by San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond, Orange County Supervisor Don Wagner, the Chairman of Reform California Carl DeMaio, Carlsbad Mayor Matt Hall, Oceanside Mayor Peter Weiss, and the late San Clemente Mayor Steven Schwartz.

Maryott is a Certified Financial Planner who spent most of his career helping families save for a rainy day, send their kids to college and retire with dignity. As the Mayor of San Juan Capistrano, he has a proven record of reform and a history of working with people from all walks of life to get results.
