Republican Party of Orange County Endorses Brian Maryott for Congress

Maryott will be an advocate for taxpayers and stop reckless extremists

((Orange County, CA) – On Monday night, the Republican Party of Orange County (OCGOP) announced its endorsement of Brian Maryott for Congress.

“The Republican Party of Orange County is proud to endorse Brian Maryott in his race for Congressional District 49. American taxpayers need an experienced advocate who fights on their behalf to rein in out of control spending, and Brian is the right man for the job," said Chairman Fred Whitaker. "We know that Brian is dedicated to improving the lives of his constituents through common-sense solutions and responsible leadership, and that's why we support Brian Maryott for Congress and strongly urge all Republicans to support him.”

Last week, the Republican Party of San Diego County also announced its endorsement of Maryott for Congress. The full support of the district’s two GOP county parties clearly establishes Maryott as the Republican nominee taking on Rep. Mike Levin in the 2020 election.

Maryott’s growing list of support includes: the Republican Party of San Diego County, San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond, Orange County Supervisor Don Wagner, the Chairman of Reform California Carl DeMaio, Carlsbad Mayor Matt Hall, Vista Mayor Judy Ritter, Oceanside Mayor Peter Weiss, Mission Viejo Mayor Greg Raths, and over 80 local elected officials and community leaders.

“I’m honored by the endorsement of the members of the Republican Party of Orange County. I’m running for Congress because I care deeply about the future of our district and our country,” said Brian Maryott. “Right now, our cities are represented by the most far-left freshman congressman in the California delegation. Mike Levin aligns more closely with Alexandra Ocasio Cortez and reckless extremists than with the people of our own district. As congressman, I’ll restore the voices of our communities to the halls of Congress.”

Maryott is a Certified Financial Planner who spent most of his career helping families save for a rainy day, send their kids to college and retire with dignity. As the Mayor of San Juan Capistrano, he has a proven record of reform and a history of working with people from all walks of life to get results.

CA-49 is a swing district with a Cook PVI of R+1 and a R+3 voter registration advantage. To learn more about Maryott and his campaign, please visit
